Another rediculously OTT show!
Micah, Kyle and the lovely Chantelle talked about Long Distance Relationships! Do they work?
Kyle told us about his LD Relationship, his boyfriend has been overseas for nearly 6 months and they are still together. Micah's brother and his girlfriend had a long distance relationship between Sydney and Melbourne and now own a home together! So the news isn't all that bad!
We also caught up with Brent, from Bathtub Gin! An event that is sure to BLOW YOUR MINDDDSSSSS!!! Circus and Burlesque meets Musical Festival. All indoors at The Forum Theatre here in Melbourne. Tickets are $35 and are available from Ticketek. Check out the site. www.bathtubgin.com.au
Micah checked in with Sarah from the Youth Mentoring Alliance, about the programs they run and all that is good about working with Youth and sharing ideas between generations.

And gay school this week was all about Taipei's 'Love Out Loud' festival promoting gay equality and same-sex marriage. Taipei's gay community is quite progressive and the Taiwanese Government constantly tackling the issue positively. WELL DONE TAIWAN!
The Equal Love, Equal Rights Same-Sex Marriage Rally is on, on the 28th of November this year, Not far away at all, right here in Melbourne town. We will keep mentioning it over the coming weeks and no doubt you will hear tonnes about it on Joy too!
And now I need my beauty sleep!
Love yourselves, and each other.
LULT (love u long time)
Kyle, Micah and Chantelle.

The August 1 same-sex marriage rally was so successful, that the top brass quickly called for another one. This is unprecedented, as normally it's six months before another to occur.
ReplyDeleteIn Melbourne, it's at 1pm Saturday 28th November at the state library, cnr of Swanston and La Trobe. Check the www.equallove.info website for your local rally.
I hope to see everyone there at the rally. It's only a fortnight away.

Also, there will be a post-rally meeting called 'Sexuality and Capitalism: Why the system is to blame for homophobia?'
It will be presented by Liam Byrne, a popular gay rights campaigners and the NUS Queer Officer.
It's at the the Imperial Hotel (Bourke and Spring) at 3pm.
I've written up a report on how the even went; I also took some photos of the rally. Check out my blog at: http://internationalannual.blogspot.com
